Yea. Software may take some time like the OS. As for cleaning up infections it may take a long time. Also some people will infect their PC again, and will blame you. It's make me laugh at people like that.

Longest time on cleaning up some infections is scanning with good software. For that I just start the software then multitask. Once done then I
take my time to see what is found and figure out the correct way to clean it off or tell the person time to save the data and nuke and start over. Last one was a fairly easy save but scanning software took its time.
If I was doing guaranteed work it would be more than $25 dollars for labor.
