How to test Rear CV joints?Hello all .. I am curious.. I know how to tell if front CV joints are going bad (clunking, etc), but how in the heck do you inspect rear CV joints for failure? (2001 Subaru outback). |

I'm no expert, if it was my car, I would: 1. lift the car and put it on jacks. 2. inspect the rear CV joints for visible damage, split boots, leaks etc. 3. try moving a tire and listening for excess noise, grinding, cracking, etc. 4. see if one side is loose compared to the other, look for excess play, etc. |
