Sometimes it's all about Mo' powa', but what we need for Russ is Mo' Healin' and less pain! I imagine road rash has to be incredibly, agonizingly, painful. Sometimes I wish we were creatures with exoskeletons, rather than be the skin bags we are... Sorry for the pain Russ. -- Join Teams Helix and Discovery. Rest in Peace, Leonard David Smith, my best friend, you are missed badly! Rest in peace, Pop, glad our last years were good. Please pray for Colin, he has ependymoma, a brain cancer, donate to a children's Hospital.
Just trying to understand wha' hoppened ... ok then, I'm glad you didn't try thaaaat then.
But do you feel any better at all at this point? I really do like this guy, just don't want his head to swell right now, has enough problems, I think. -- Join Team Helix * I am praying for these friends .
Iffn I had to venture a guess.....I would guess that iffn Russ had to jump all over his brakes there was prolly a good reason and maybe an immediate threat to his well being if he didnt. Ima guessing possibly someone else on the road not paying too good of attention to their fellow motorists.
Just from a little bit of experience as a passenger on a Beemer that took road trips, I do know bikers have to be aware auto drivers often just do not see them. It's not that they aren't visible, but that the eyes are focused on cars 'n trucks and the occasional deer or geese crossing the road. Bikes are inivisible.
Never seen a groundchuck actually run.....seen them waddle really quickly on many occasions though! -- Just cause you got the monkey off your back doesn't mean the circus has left town. Team Helix- Folding@Home and Rosetta@Home

Russie would disagree. As I mentioned, it was a Beemer, not a Hawg and when the storage shed, where it was stored, burned ... well ... this "bikerchick" didn't cry. -- Join Team Helix * I am praying for these friends .
Listen folks. I REALLY appreciate your concern for me, and all the well wishes.
I'm gonna be OK!!! May take a surgery or two, and time, (which I have plenty of). I'm gonna heal up, and my beautiful scooter will be repaired, and ridden AGAIN!! -- Come fold for a cure with us @ Team Helix.
