Got a truck coming this morning but......

Just as I knew it would, my upstream signal dropped to 48db and no disconnects since yesterday morning? You gotta be kidding me! Had problems with the signal for over a month and on the day the truck rolls it fixes itself? Now the tech's gonna say everything's fine and leave.

although it's cool and rainy today instead of hot and sunny, this might have an effect on it, right?

Weather can change signal levels. Are you sure the tech hasn't already checked into the problem and had something adjusted somewhere ?

Not that I'm aware of... Does seem strange that the signal dropped the same day they're supossed to come out though

I know when I was having some signal issues the tech checked on some things in my area before calling and coming to my home to check signals and then further adjust things outside.

maybe that's what happened cause I just removed the amp I needed for tv and the channels are all coming in now also and the signal is still better than usual@50/52 even with another splitter right before the modem to feed the tv in the room. Should I just cancel when he calls? I'd hate to get charged now if nothings wrong.
Here's the latest signals :

I would let him come out and see if he can get your upstream to a better level.

Tell him about the amp. He may be able to eliminate the need for that too, but it's best if he knows so he doesn't spend time trying to adjust around it

I pulled the amp so he can work w/o it to start. Thanks

He checked the signals which were off and rewired everything from the outside box in and ran a seperate line for the modem itself, after all that the signal was still off. Ran a test off the pole and it failed so he called for a lineman to check it out, will post a followup when it gets fixed.

Well, he stopped by and the signals were still high, lineman said he fixed it but the tech said bull$hit, so for now he went up the pole and ran a dedicated line just for the modem so it won't go through any splitters. Called his boss about my situation and will get another lineman out to fix it right. My signals are really good now but the tv's still have issues but it'll be right soon, I hope. Here's the signals I'm getting now:

The lineman would be the one with blue prints that tell him what kind of signal should be there..... So take the tech's comment's with a grain of salt, It's not high if that is what is supposed to be there. Sometimes something can be done, sometimes you have to work with what you got.

Well, with the tv still screwed up and the signal just jumped back to 55/54dbmv...I believe the tech when he said it wasn't fixed.
