TELETOON launches live streaming on Videotron's illico.tv service and illico mobile

Videotron's TELETOON subscribers will be able to stream TELETOON's English- and French-language services live starting today

(Toronto, ON, September 5, 2012) - TELETOON Canada Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of its first ever live streaming service on Videotron's illico.tv and illico mobile beginning today, Wednesday, September 5. The service will enable Videotron's authenticated TELETOON subscribers to watch TELETOON English and TELETOON French live online anywhere, anytime.

“As part of TELETOON's ongoing commitment to offer viewers content at their convenience - wherever they are and however they want it - we are thrilled to introduce our first live streaming service to Videotron's TELETOON subscribers,” said Len Cochrane, President, TELETOON Canada Inc.

The TELETOON schedule will be available to stream on the web at illico.tv as well as on Android and Blackberry mobile devices using the illico mobile application. Every day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET/PT, TELETOON delivers hilarious comedy, unexpected surprises and edge-of-your-seat action through the best in animated and animation-related programming and blockbuster movies. The lineup includes the series premieres of Ultimate Spider-Man and Amazing World of Gumball as well as new seasons of Johnny Test and Detentionaire. TELETOON at Night programming takes over the airwaves from 9 p.m. ET/PT onwards, featuring a lineup of smart and culturally topical comedy shows for young adults including Family Guy, American Dad and Robot Chicken.

Coinciding with the launch of TELETOON on illico.tv, TELETOON English, TELETOON French and TÉLÉTOON Jr. are now available On Demand through Videotron's Channel 900. TELETOON's hit programming will be featured, including titles such as Johnny Test, Detentionaire and Lego Ninjago.

En SD ouin...

Tranquillement pas vite, on va avoir de plus en plus de poste disponible sur illico.tv, mais sinon, achetez-vous une SlingBox comme j'ai faite. Vous aurez accès à tout vos canaux + enregistrements de n'importe quel endroit. C'est un investissement d'une fois, mais ensuite vous avez la paix. Je m'en sert aussi pour mon système de caméra de surveillance à domicile pour le contrôler à distance. Très pratique!

Teletoon existe pas encore en HD à ma connaissance.

Ça me tente la slingbox mais ma "ministre des affaires" (ma blonde) veut pas...

Teletoon anglais HD a été lancée le 18 avril 2012 chez EastLink.
Puis Cartoon Network Canada (de Teletoon Canada) a été lancé le 4 juillet 2012 en HD.

Télétoon français n'a pas été lancé.

Bon à savoir.

La seule chose que je peux dire pour l'instant, c'est qu'ils ont encore le même problème qu'ils ont depuis quelques années, que je leur ai rapporté plusieurs fois.

Je sais pas pourquoi, mais le son sur Teletoon FR est de mauvaise qualité. En plus, il est débalancé. (Plus fort à gauche qu'à droite si je me souviens). C'est le cas sur la TV et aussi sur Illico Web.

Bah, de toute façon, depuis qu'ils ont ajouté un espèce d'animateur poche en fin de soirée, ça me tappe sur les nerfs, je ne regarde plus vraiment cette chaîne là. Va faloir que je trouve mes cartoons ailleurs.
