[DTA] same boxes different channelsHello,
Hope someone can help me. I just had Comcast basic cable installed on 4 tv's using the same type of DTA box. This is just local channels for $9 per month. On three TV's upstairs (all newer flat panels) I get all the channels I used to get with my old Verizon fios, you know CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, etc.
On the TV in my basement, I only get local channels. This TV is a 2006 rear projection Mitsubushi big screen, 1080p.
Why the difference? |

You ara not supposed to get CNN etc if you have basic service. You will lose those channels sooner or later. |

on the all newer flat panels you should bypass the DTA to get the HD feeds of the locals. |

I guess you just got lucky. Those 3 boxes more likely were used before that is why they have full lineup. You can call comcast they will restart all boxes so you will have basic service on all of them. It has nothing to do with your tv. |
