My internet speed has been throttled from where it previously was and the connection is often dropped. This is stuff straight from 1997 56k. I tried to switch back to the old modem but it didn't work anymore. Advice? I'm pretty peeved at WOW!

If it were me though, I would just call them regarding the new modem. If your service was working great before then my guess is the new modem hasn't been provisioned correctly.

I thought it was related to trying to use it as a modem without a phone, but you seem to have both. In any case, WOW_Dan can probably take a look at it and figure something out. One question though, are you using a router, and if so, have you bypassed it to rule it out as the problem?
