LF: Good Backup Tool to Network Drive

I'm looking for software that will keep a backup of my laptop to a network drive.
Backup: My Documents, Desktop and Outlook.
Drive: Seagate 1TB Backup Pro Portable is connected to router via USB 2.0.

The Seagate Dashboard software will not work except if connected directly to the laptops USB.

I tried the software Cobian Backup but it makes a complete copy. I'm looking for a software that will only upload the change as I only have 1TB of space and drive speed over the network is slow (~2.5Megs/second)

Thanks in advance.

GoodSync:
Not free, but I use it daily in a similar environment.

Thank you! Looks great!

Only feature missing is a file revisions archive but that's not a big deal.

SyncBack also doesn't do revisions, but is free.

Checkout »www.crashplan.com Their product is free to use for local backups and it does incremental backups and saves deleted files until you manually delete them from the backup.

If you use a Sync tool, be certain that you understand how you have it configured. In normal sync mode, if you accidentally delete a file or files from your main disk and then happen to sync the folders before you realize what happened, the sync tool will happily delete the file(s) from your backup disk.

Sync tools have a use, but I don't feel that backup is one of them.

Crashplan's free for local use? Hmmm that sounds interesting. I think I'll check that out...

Also SyncBack, the free version at least, defaults to replacing deleted files (so long as they exist in one side or the other, anyway) rather than deleting them.

Free version of goodsync doesn't work with over 100 files....

I do not like crashplan as it doesnt let me backup to my network drive.

I'll try syncback now

Did you try mapping the network drive to a drive letter?
