Mobile versions are always crap compared to the real ones. |

Ya there was a story on toms that mentioned that although the mobile might be named 570 or 670m its more like a 550/650 after all they have some tight power limits on laptop GPUs. |

There is a reason for this, even these tightly controlled GPUs burn through batteries like crazy. I can only get about ~3 hours of battery life on a six cell battery. |

Ya, I just wish that they'd not use the same naming as their desktop chips, of name it more accurately for how it performs. |

Agreed, even if they just named it something entirely different it would be better. It seems a little disingenuous to name the Optimus/Discrete chips based on the performance cards. |

Yep.
I think once I had to explain that the mobile chip wasn't the same to someone, it was more painful to get the message across then you'd think. |

Ya they were "like" its a 6800 so it should be just as good as the 6800 in that desktop, no that's a 6800M its no where near as powerful as that desktop. |

I get around 60 on Sniper Elite 2 with everything maxed at 1080 resolution and roughly the same with COD3 with my GTX570M. I was expecting better as I didn't know about the difference between desktop and mobile. |

COD3 is the same engine as MW2. Not GPU intensive at all. |
