on Firefox | on IE 6 |
I forgot to put the link in my post (it is there now). I was talking about the Opera blog and voting there and then being sent to the Sophos poll page and how none of my browsers except IE 8 worked right. IE 6, for me, makes a real mess of displaying the Opera blog page and then when IE 6 opens the Sophos page there is a blank box where the poll results should be. But my IE 6 is really old as I have SP 2 for XP not SP 3. |

Its amazing which browser is winning! (People are blinded by mainstream BS and its sad) Mainstream BS? Denial is not just a river in Egypt. The only way IE6 can come close to secure is with group policy, external programs(namely sandboxing and script sanitizing) and most of it's outdated plugins disabled. Lots of work to prove a point, Dude111. IE6 is Swiss cheese in need of you plugging all its holes. That is not what I call secure. My picks are Firefox with AppArmor or SeLinux, otherwise Chromium, which sandboxes the vulnerable Flash plugin and JavaScript engine. Doesn't that sound easier than plugging IE6, which is ugly anyways(rendering and interface)? |

Thats correct. IE is actually more secure in that respect IF setup correctly via Group Policy. But an average Joe user does not know this. |
