Re: FBI begins installation of $1 bil face recognition systemquote: Well I guess the plus side is that when I go to the DMV to renew my drivers license/photo in 4 years they'll already have a pic.
With age enhancement as well. |

On the bright side, 75% of the TSA might be able to be laid off. |

After all, somebody has to guard against buggy hijacking else the terrorists might drive them into the side of a barn. |

That just proves the need... the perp obviously would have failed to "freeze" upon command, he'd have likely failed the swab-over-drink test as well, and the pat-down would probably have turned up a lot of suspicious straight pins. It's only by good fortune he wrecked before making it all the way into the side of a barn. And the article makes it clear the local police (untrained as they were) never got around to interrogating the horse as a potential co-conspirator. This is obviously a job for the real pros: TSA personnel. |

Indeed. Far more their 'speed', as it were.

If "age enhancement" means making me look younger, good deal. Seriously, though, I predict horror stories arising from false positives and the resulting erroneous identifications. |

Seriously tho even with horror stories and false IDs sure to come down the road it could prove useful in the consumer market on smart phones. |
