Which setup is best?

Thinking about upgrading my video cards, and need some input.
Current setup is... dual Radeon HD6870's in Crossfire X. My WEI score
for this setup is 7.8 Not bad at all.

I am thinking about either upgrading to dual Radeon HD 7870 "GHz Edition" with 2GB / 256bit and going with the Crossfire X again for a total of 4GB.
Or a single Radeon HD 7970 "GHz Edition" 6GB / 384bit setup. Any suggestions or feed back will be most welcome. Which would be the best for max performance?

Did you ever stop to think, and forget to start again?

I think you will have many less problems with a single card.

What resolution are you gaming at? What games are you playing? This will have an impact on the correct information given.
