Blast (previously known as Performance Plus) was kicked "up to" 25Mbps according to the email I received yesterday.

Dear Valued Customer,

Great news! We've increased your Internet speed again!*

Now the download speed on your Internet service is 25% faster with speeds up to 25 Mbps.

I am on the Ultra profile and did not receive a speed boost.

There is no Performance Plus in Memphis anymore. Initally I had Performance. Couple years ago I paid the additional $10 for Performance Plus, a few months ago my bill was listed as Blast! Plus instead of Performance Plus. *shrug*

While working on my upload/packetloss issues my modem was sent the Ultra Profile which took me from 30Mbps down / 3.4Mbps Up on speedtest.net to the speeds you see in the post above.

Memphis was originally Time Warner so not sure if that is why things seem just a bit different here.

OP is in a different state. Your options have nothing to do with his.

He clearly asked "How far behind are we?".

So based on the statement "i've had that for like a year", everyone asking "How far behind are we?" would expect to wait a year or better. Each market is different. It's not an answer, but rather a personal account of a possibility.
