You would think that living in the so called greatest country in the world. Some smart guy/gal would have figured out a way for an irrigation system. In order to get water from the oceans you have. Create a pipe line, desalinate the water (the way we used to do when I live on the Navy ship) to inland Texas and cool everything off.
When Israel was given the land it was mainly a desert and now it has many thriving farm lands, it could have easily been a desert and baron land by now. |

| I wish that were the case, Slava . We are getting to the point where we will have to do that, and we are way behind the curve on such matters. The current strategy is to get all knee-jerk and demand people ration water, even as the municipal pipelines delivering the water leak like a vegetable strainer.

Awoke to frost on the grass. This is actually our second frost of the year. The first one was two weeks ago, but it looks like it's here to stay now.

Strong storm headed for Colorado
A Pacific storm will bring a wide variety of weather to Colorado on friday. Thunderstorms will develop on the eastern plains with hail possible in some storms. Thunderstorms will be strongest near the Kansas border. Significant snow could fall in the mountains, the heaviest snow will be above 9,000 feet.

60 degrees...Sunny and delightful...Tomorrow 62...
...if only it would stay this way...but...chilly air is on the move and will deliver some of the lowest temperatures
of the season so far to the New York metropolitan area by the weekend.

Woohoo, Indian summer starts tomorrow. It is one of my favorite times of year. Daytime temps in upper 60's to low 70's and humidity in the teens. Lows will be around 40.

Arapahoe Basin opening Wednesday Arapahoe Basin Ski area announced today it plans to open for the season Wednesday.
