It does seem hard to believe a company of their size could be taken down by corrupt router tables for that period of time. It doesn't take that long to fix the problem.
Something is not right here. Either they are flat out lying or they didn't have the required spare parts or staff on site to quickly bypass or correct the problem. -- I do not, have not, and will not work for AT&T/Comcast/Verizon/Charter or similar sized company.
