Confirmed issue..

I'm having issues getting to freegeekvancouver.org from Telus.

I've done some looking glass traceroutes on a few other ISP's, and they all go through dx2hs-g1.vc.shawcable.net.

Looks like a CMTS router, that will be the last router before the 184.71.188.206 endpoint.

Does not clearly seem to be a network issue. This looks like a local to where the site is hosted issue. Or the endpoint does not respond to pings (which would still count as a local site issue)...

I can't believe they are hosting their site on a cable internet connection... lol

Depends on the website and how much traffic. Shaw plans max at 250/15 15mbps is much faster than a lot of downstream connections, if the pages are small, works great.

I've worked on sites/locations where they are hosted on a 1.5mbps T1 or 768 kbps DSL.

I see you edited your clearly a network issue sentence

That and my cable modem has a lot more uptime then more than 1 data center I was paying for a VPS at (80%), most months 99% or better uptime here.

There was a number of posts about this on the Shaw Community site. Known issue, but not sure if anybody knows the cause yet.
