Los Angeles, CA | [Poll] iPhone 5: Who's pre-ordering tomorrow? Ok, I'll start off. I'm buying tomorrow and probably my girlfriend too. I have a 4 and she has a 3GS. I've been having problems with my home button and continually cleaning it is not fixing it anymore, so it's time to upgrade.
I prefer the iPhone experience over the other phones--and yes, I have played with a handful of models that friends have. Just not impressed with the overall end-to-end experience compared to what I have with Apple. Sure some models have things that I like that the iPhone doesn't have, but I have yet to have a smartphone in my hand that does more for me than the iPhone. Again as with everything, YMMV.

I trust there will be plenty on launch day at the Sprint store. I wonder how many people are getting away from ATT. This is about the the time a lot of contracts with ATT expired for iPhone 4 buyers. |

Use the Apple Store app. Already placed my order. You can only use the app if you're upgrading a current iPhone though.
Had to retry only 3 times when entering my Apple ID password.

Dar al-Harb | Have a current iPhone you're upgrading? Get the Apple Store app and do it that way. Took me 30 seconds. I already received my confirmation email. Won't work this way if you're adding a line.

the store sign in process is not working, as though the store went live before the signin system did. Same problem with the iPhone app and online store.

woohoo, and I'm done!
I had to continue as guest on apple.com, then not create an account, and just go through that way. They only let me ship it to my AT&T billing address (At home), but that was true with my iPhone 4 and I was able to go in and change it later (to my work) last time.

Actual website still shows "We'll Be Back"... I had to enter my password 3 times into the Apple Store app when it timed out, but I got in rather quickly.

Just ordered a verizon 16gb black from Verizon's site since Apple Store is down.
However I did notice a minor verizon screw up (oh here we go).
Apparently 40 + 40 is 100 to Vz.
I will also get a 20% discount with a university affiliation on something eventually.
I pay about $67 a month with ATT and their 15% off. I'll miss that.

Ok...confused...placed a pre-order on the site and I get rejected because of the PO box billing address. Hit the iPhone app and it completes the order and I get an email confirming it.
I think I'm screwed because it will reject the order...sigh.
