[Pets] Our Ernie died last Friday | 
September, 2001 |
We've been trying to get him through irritable bowel syndrome for months (all year?) but he wasn't responding to meds and Rx food -- began often refusing to eat. Had some success giving him chicken breast meat but he went from 12 lbs. in spring to 8 lbs. He kept getting worse. Last week our vet brought up the possibility of intestinal lymphoma. As we read about it on line all his symptoms were explained. We didn't subject him to an endoscopy. Friday was awful for the little guy. We couldn't let it continue. His absence is palpable but we did the right thing. This coming weekend will be exactly 11 years since we adopted him. |

If only all the little furry ones would be so fortunate in finding a home as Ernie. He obviously had the best life could offer.
I understand the empty feeling and I am sorry for your loss, but thank you sincerely for loving Ernie. |

D, I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost your little Ernie. My heart goes out to you. Rest assured that he's in good company where all the other kitties of this world go to rest when they leave our company, and wait for us when we depart to go be with them.
