|
 | reply to Wikkedfin I was under the understanding that if you had an old "unlimited" plan it would report a cap of 250 but you are in fact unlimited. |
|
 | reply to Wikkedfin ^^ that is correct as i understand it too macdude |

 | reply to MediacomChad Hey Chad how about removing the meter cap for accounts not created after 08/01/12? It seems to me it only confuses people. -- I speak for myself, not my employer. |

However, I do think that the meter page should clearly state somewhere that if you have had service prior to 8/1/12, the cap shown is for informational purposes only.
Better yet, for those who are grandfathered in - instead of showing 250 GB of monthly service allowance (or whatever limit you think should be there), it should clearly state:
UNLIMITED GB of monthly service allowance.
I know web design isn't exactly in your jurisdiction, but could you please pass this along to those who can look into this? I can see a lot of people getting wrongfully upset by looking at this page. It would be in Mediacom's best interest to alleviate any confusion.
On a side note, What method is Mediacom using to measure data usage? Seems like there are a lot of ISP's having a problem with accuracy these days. (Read: Suddenlink, Cogeco, Comcast, Etc...) -- The bitterness of poor quality lingers longer than the sweetness of low cost. (usually) |

k9iua6 join:2004-05-23 Dubuque, IA | For some reason my usage meter continues to show 0 GB. When the meter was first released, it seemed to work for about fifteen days, showing my usage. But since then it just shows zero. Not a big deal since I'm grandfathered. Has this happened to any one else here? |
|
 | Mine looks relatively accurate.

|
 | mine seems to be pretty much spot on too |

 | reply to k9iua6 Mine has stated 0 GB used this month and last month. The month before the meter overstated my useage by hundreds of GB. Hence, until mediacom can show/state how they monitor the data used, I consider it a moot point. |
