[DVR] MR DVR and DVR - do they share memory? two odd things

We just got tripleplay. We have a multi-room dvr and another regular dvr. They can see eachother.

My daughter has been setting up recordings on the MR-DVR 7232. It shows 4% used. She has also set up a few shows to record on the DVR 6414. The plain dvr hasn't recorded anything yet, but it shows 11% used. Why would it show this usage if nothing has been recorded yet?

EDIT: Also, we have Extreme TV which includes Soapnet. While watching the Soapnet channel on the regular DVR a message came up saying "you are not subscribed to this station". We missed whatever info might have come up. Yesterday we had no service on that DVR and Verizon had to reset it.

Thanks for any advice.

Sincerely, Libra

I found out that the two DVRs are independent of each other as far as the memory goes although they can see eachother. I also found out that the HD/DVR 6416 is known to show the amount recorded to be more that is actuallly recorded.
