US Cable Support > Comcast HSI > [Connectivity] Randomly dropping connections

I have an Arris TM862G gateway and it comes in through a four way splitter shared with a TiVo, Comcast DVR and a DTA on a TV in the basement. I have recently had problems with the Internet randomly dropping out, particularly on my iPad 3 since I use that the most. I'll get an error that says safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found. Switch the iPad over to Verizon LTE (built into iPad) and the page in question loads fine (which points the finger at Comcast). I like the 862G because it has 8x4 channel bonding but I own a tm722g and an Apple AirPort router that I could put back in if neccessary. I do have a large number of uncorrectable code words. I'll post screenshots of my modem pages if neccessary but that would entail me dragging out the MacBook pro as I cannot upload to this site via iPad/iPhone.

I wish I still lived in Iowa; Everything there from rent and groceries to Cable TV is much cheaper in Iowa (especially with an overbuilder in town).
