Days of Deals for another 12 days

MEh, there are rarely any really good deals any more.

These 12 days of deals remind me of when I worked at Simpsons. Scratch and Save used to be a once or twice event. It got to the point where it was almost every other week.

The consumer was spoiled and the weekends that there was no scratch and save they wouldn't be shopping.

Yea, this Days of Deals and the last were entirely ho-hum, the same price as other places are selling the same stuff.

Although the one before that, I picked up a Dell 30" at a great price so I still click anyhow... so thanks donoreo!

Ordered the Wacom Bamboo Splash to add to my sister's birthday gifts. Not a bad price for that at all.

Yeah, still, $45 for a soon-to-be 19 year old who will probably spill something on it is a price I'm not going to complain about

Now if only they would release the UltraSharp U2713HM (a 27" AH-IPS that has been out in Europe and Australia for weeks now) and put that on sale. Otherwise meh.

I only look for the monitor deals and with the U2713 on the way I'm not looking at the U2412 or U2711 anymore.

The 3tb hard drive is the going rate these days, no deal there.
The Vertex SSD is also in the ball park for pricing.

So where are the deals again?

The deals page doesn't seem to show up for awhile after the daily transition, and sometimes during the day, maybe if they make changes.

Anyway today is remarkably useless. At least yesterday had the U2412M if anyone still needed one. Also the Canon Rebel T3 though it wasn't much of a deal. But just nothing today. If this keeps up I'm going to lose faith!

Forgot to mention -- if anyone is waiting for the U2711 to come up, it's already on sale this week under a different program and is currently $799. So I'm guessing it's not going to also show up on Days of Deals or probably won't be any less if it does. I was vaguely thinking about it but that price is still a little steep.

Another thing to note is that the new U2713HM will be cheaper than the 2711 and also LED illuminated. My impression is that it will relate to the U2711 much like the U2412M relates to the U2411. For many, it will probably be the better buy. Now to find it on sale....

Bought the Inspiron 15R last night from the days of deals. They had the 3rd gen i5 with 6GB that is normally $569 "on sale" and $649 "not on sale" listed on the days of deals for $549. The extra $20 off was all it took... I had been waiting for almost a month for the new 3rd gen i5 to come up on sale at that price from Dell. Got it now. Should be here by the 29th (I'm guessing sooner).
