Re: What a sad story about our society...
The problem is that society has changed since then, now I have a work and personal cell phone and because I don't like to carry two phones at all times calls are transferred to my personal cell if I don't answer my work phone.
Businesses, even some that don't give out corporate cell phones expect many of their employees to answer emails, texts or calls, even on the weekends if it's an emergency.
I too grew up with out cell phones, and didn't get a cell phone until after I graduated from college in 1999. Now I don't even own a home phone and having a cell phone is a requirement for my work and personal life, as more and more people use texting over voice calls more and more. I prefer a normal call, but I'm still single, I'm not going to limit my social life because I refuse to accept new technology.
