[Updated] Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.278/10.3.183.25

Direct Download Installers - »www.adobe.com/products/flashplay···on3.html

Flash Player Uninstaller - »helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/···ows.html

No release notes available for this particular update at this time that I can find. Direct Download pages might still show previous versions but are the updated versions to download.

Thank you, KA69.
Oh, and after installation, in addition to the control panel applet, some may want to continue to check the on-line Global Settings manager:

I've often found (depending on the OS sometimes), even if you use the Direct downloads, and specify that you don't want settings such as auto-updates enabled, either one or the other may conflict with your choices.
Just sayin'.

I also like using the latest uninstaller first, as you included in your post. (Which will have the same version number as the Flash updates).
I'm just a creature of habit, and always use that before installing the new versions. Personal preference, I suppose.

I just use the uninstaller in Programs and Features. Is the uninstaller you download from Adobe any different?

Good question, Fat City. And to be honest, I'm not really sure.
I just remember some time ago Adobe saying something like: "Due to recent changes, it is now recommended to download and run the Adobe Flash Uninstaller". And I've been doing it that way ever since.
Whether or not it matters, I couldn't tell you for sure.
Like I said, I'm a creature of habit.

But I figure if they keep releasing a new version of the uninstaller with the same file version number every time they release new Flash updates, I'll keep using it.
Others may offer more insight.

Well as that page says if it's not successful people use that uninstaller. As jabarnut said I too remember Adobe saying that and been doing it ever since. Even if it's not required though, it's a good place to go to completely remove Flash and it tells you even which directories to delete.

Thanks Jeff, I'll give it a go before I install the new version. When I use the program uninstaller and then run a search for 'flash', 'adobe', and 'macromedia', files show up that I sometimes delete. I'll see if the web uninstaller takes out these files when it runs.

If you want to watch all files, that Flash installer puts in your computer, look at:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
folder.

Yes, that's where I usually delete: "FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe" after a new installation. (Creature of habit)

Hello,

After updating to this latest version, I found that flash videos have no sound and sometimes the images are frozen. I had to do a system restore on my Win 7 PC to revert to an older version.

Sorry to hear that, first bad case I've heard of so far.
