Re: Generator to be use..

Apparently that is a conclusion not shared by the OP, or there would be no question...

The OP is probably not a Sparky...

I think that's rather obvious!

It's probably a portable crusher plant.
Again, not a big deal to hook up and long as you know the connected load.

Then he should ask the equipment manufacturer what generator to use to power it.

Why didn't anyone mention Harbor Freight generators yet?

Here you go. 15 of these should do it. You'll just have to figure how to parallel them...

Being portable, so you're suggesting something like a NEMA 5L-15 or 5L-20 connector then?

In addition to all the other comments, you don't tell us where you are, so it's hard to guess the other implications, but here goes:

EPA permit?
Zoning?
Certified plans?
Construction permit?
Noise suppression?
Fuel storage requirements?
Insurance company requirements/approval?
If for standby:
Transfer switch?
Power company requirements?

You're going to base a $40+k (and that's if you're buying used) purchase that will run a commercial business on the advice of a home improvement fourm?

There may be a few here that could do it. Just not over the forum.

Single phase? Three phase?
Power factor?

A crushing plant on single phase only?

Do it right. Pull the electrical motor and install the correct diesel engine to it.
It will save you big $$$ in fuel.
