Re: [Connectivity] New SB6120/6121 Firmware ReleasedBill still says performance, but I can pull 50mbps constantly on shaper probe.
Not sure, but I like it! |

xcalvid has nothing to do with an xbox. It refers to some sort of speed tier. |

My performance 24/4 went to 50/10.. This is awesome You sure it's performance you're subscribed to? Here in Chicago I have performance (silver) and we're still at 16/4 wishing it would go up to 25/5 or what you are calling performance @ 24/4 in your region. |

A day or two after the new config file was pushed I'm back up to 50/10. Well, really about 50/8, but close enough. |

I think the xcalvid part means the Xbox live video service. When I activated the service on my xbox, my modem rebooted. |

Yes I have the Blast tier. |

That looks like Blast to me. Maybe it was just a cooincidence that mine dropped to 35/5. |

Anyone heard of this config before? 'Silver' usually refers to Performance. I'm not certain what the xcalvid means, unless it was originally something different tied to some video package? (Extreme California Video? ) |

Forget live chat. You would be better off with phone rep and do it during normal weekday business hours. If you still get no joy, post in the CC direct forum here. |

That didn't work real well. Chat agent told me the file was correct for Blast, had me reboot once, s/he rebooted my modem remotely twice and then dropped the session. |

Good luck. The Blast file should look like this;
d11_m_ [******] _speedtierextreme2_c01.cm
[******] Denotes modem model number. |

Bummer. OK - I just tried resetting the modem and rebooting but didn't see any increase. Guess I have to contact Comcast and get them to push the right one. |

That's not a Blast boot file. |

Well, good news bad news. My modem rebooted this afternoon and I received the 1.0.6.10 firmware. The bad news is that my Blast speeds dropped from a solid 50/10 to 35/5. I assume that was related to getting this config line in the log:
SW Download INIT - Via Config file d11_m_sb6121_speedtier_c01.cm |
