Re: Call Forwarding Thanks for the reply but I have the magicjack plus and not going to buy another magicjack product.
I was hoping someone could tell me about NetTalk. |
|
 GorkOu812ic join:2001-10-06 Bountiful, UT | GVJack is not a MJ product. |
|
 | Call forwarding still works fine, you have to do it in this order: - login first - then go to my.magicjack.com/call-forwarding.html |
|
DarkRealmDon't Fear The Reaper join:2001-05-09 DarkDomain kudos:7 | I have tried that before and just now. it does not show up at all, I have talked to customer support for a few months now and all they keep saying is that it is not available right now and they have no date of when it will return. |

Sam: Hello, how may I help you?
Sam: Hello, how may I help you?
Elias: I'm new with MJ
Elias: I'm trying to configure call forwarding but it is not available under Call Features
Elias: What's wrong?
Sam: We understand how important the magicJack call forwarding feature is. However, the feature is unavailable at this time. We don't presently have any further details about this matter. We do expect the feature to be available again in the near future. Please check our website periodically for updates.
Elias: Is there a reason for that?
Elias: If I knew that I would have never bought that thing
Elias: It is even in the FAQs in your website
Sam: We don't presently have any further details about this matter. We do expect the feature to be available again in the near future. Please check our website periodically for updates.
Elias: Is there a number for customer service so I can call please?
Sam: We use Tech Chat to better assist you. By using Tech Chat, we can send you instant upgrade links and run several diagnostic tests, that cannot be done over the telephone. We are also able to see where you are located, what OS and Internet browser you are using. Lastly we can see that your Internet connection is working too. This will provide the best Customer care experience and keep you most satisfied.
Elias: Well I'm NOT satisfied at all.
Elias: It is unbelievable you advertise for something that you don't offer. In this country that is ILEEGAL
Elias: ILEGAL
Sam: The feature is unavailable at this time. We don't presently have any further details about this matter. We do expect the feature to be available again in the near future. Please check our website periodically for updates. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Elias: From your WEBSITE: Can I use magicJack to forward calls to my cell phone? Category: All Using magicJack Print Article | Email Link Answer YES, if available, visit »my.magicjack.com and login to set up Call Forwarding. Click "Call Forwarding" under the "Call Features" tab and follow the prompts to check out. The call forwarding feature may not be used to forward calls to conference, platform and non-ILEC area telephone numbers. Plan Options: 100 minutes per month $4.95/year, or 500 minutes per month $19.95/year
Elias: Stop copying and pasting your message. I already know it. I need a telephone number to call please
Elias: or transfer me to a supervisor
Sam: One moment please...

Junrex: Hello. My name is Junrex. To better assist you, let me put you on hold while I read your previous chat/s. Thank you.
Elias: Thank you
Junrex: One moment please...
Junrex: I appreciate your patience.
Junrex: The call forwarding article on the website's FAQs is still under review. That is why the feature was removed temporarily, Elias.
Elias: Yes but obviously has been months since that. I see the forum online and everyone is up in arms.
Elias: If I knew that I would have never bought a magic Jack
Elias: and transfer my number to make things even worse!
Elias: I feel betrayed and played on
Junrex: One moment please...
Junrex: Thank you for waiting.
Junrex: With regards to the feature still not being returned, there is nothing we can do. The only persons that can release any updates with regards to that is the Engineers and as we speak, there is still nothing to be released.
Elias: So Can I get an extra year for free or something? because obviously this is ridiculous.
Elias: It is even advertised in your website
Elias: Call Forwarding Options: Plan Options: 100 minutes per month $4.95/year, or 500 minutes per month $19.95/year.
Junrex: I know that. May I ask why you are asking for free year or additional options, in fact that magicJack has the right to make changes with or without the customers consent. Refer to the Terms of Services, Section 13: MODIFICATION (»www.magicjack.com/plus-v05/tos.html).
Elias: That is right with your Term of services. However to advertise something clearly on the website in this country is ILEGAL
Junrex: I understand that. What is illegal on the advertisement?
Elias: I'm certainly paying all my dues here and I'm not getting what you company advertises for. Do you think I'm not entitled to compensation? If so, so be it.
Junrex: I believe I have provided all the necessary information that you need. I will end this chat now. If you have any other concern, please don't hesitate to chat us back. Thank you.

 | reply to cmthru Does anyone know how this MJ works, I know it uses google voice, sounds like what the software gvapp does with a MJ, but appears not to use any software? a "magichack" ??

1 edit | If you are considering the GVJackApp for Google Voice but can't put your hands on a cheap donor MJ or MJ+ dongle for whatever reason, the new GVMate Professional VoIP Phone Adapter is priced at under $30 and provides a new equipment alternative that is functionally equivalent to using a magicJack dongle with the professional version of the GVJackApp all in one complete package.
For more information, see »www.gvmate.com . |

| Congratulations! I'm surprised to hear you guys have come up with a piece of hardware to replace the MJ hardware. Never thought that would have happened. I hope it brings you an incredible financial reward. |
|
 | Thanks for the words of support. They are really appreciated...
The only thing we know is that the current demand for donor used magicJacks to convert to use with Google Voice continues to be higher than the number of them being posted on Ebay for sale.
We hope to see the GVMate Phone Adapter fill in the void and also help keep donor used magicJack prices at an attractive level. |

| Nettalk is what I was going to go with when I decided I didn't want to deal with MJ's craziness anymore. But the day I was going to sign up with Nettalk is when pchonesoft released GVJack and I jumped onboard, especially since I was already signed up with my GV account. I haven't regretted that decision.
However, if GV started charging an amount I wasn't willing to pay, or if pcphonesoft discontinued GVJack my first choice would be Nettalk. |

 | reply to cmthru They didn't take it away. It still works fine. The took away the ability to turn it on and off, and if you complain "chat" will tell you the engineers are working on it...they've been working on it for a year now! But, you can try/buy the inexpensive "extra features" software that gives you back the ability to switch it on & off. I would bet that everyone who lost CF either let their account expire or turned off CF. Then, renew your account &/or try to turn it back on and you are SOL. Happened to me. So, I tried the software, got CF back and, in my case, I don't turn it off...ever. But, I can still use the phone and dongle to call out when need arises. Tricky bastards, eh? The point is that the "engineers are working on it" is a blatant lie. Again...CF works just fine if you can figure out how to turn it back on without using the MJ website... and the fellow who has made millions on MJ should here about it from all of us, at his mansion in Florida. |

|
 | You said you "Try/Buy the inexpensive extra features software" What is that I have not seen that listed on MJ website. If I could pay for forwarding I would but can not even find that and text support still says they are looking into it.
I had let a number expire so my CF got shut off and now can not get back on. |
