anon posted : They didn't take it away. It still works fine. The took away the ability to turn it on and off, and if you complain "chat" will tell you the engineers are working on it...they've been working on it for a year now! But, you can try/buy the inexpensive "extra features" software that gives you back the ability to switch it on & off. I would bet that everyone who lost CF either let their account expire or turned off CF. Then, renew your account &/or try to turn it back on and you are SOL. Happened to me. So, I tried the software, got CF back and, in my case, I don't turn it off...ever. But, I can still use the phone and dongle to call out when need arises. Tricky bastards, eh? The point is that the "engineers are working on it" is a blatant lie. Again...CF works just fine if you can figure out how to turn it back on without using the MJ website... and the fellow who has made millions on MJ should here about it from all of us, at his mansion in Florida.

fitsun posted : I tried the link. It just brings me to my account where i log in. There is no option for call forward. I've been with MJ for about 3 years. Always had call forward. I only use it for that reason. I don't like to give my home number out so I use to give the magic jack number out and it was forwarded to my home phone. I didn't know the call forward feature was not available until I went into my email and seen emails from MJ telling me I had voice mails. I never received a email from MJ before this. iT's not coming back. If it does, it will be a paid feature. If enough people filed complaints things like this would not happened.

If one is a subscriber before they did the change, the call forwarding can be accessed via the link provided above in this thread. You will have CF available until your subscription expires. They often have special deals as well, posted prominently on their main page.

Also, "$18.81 after tax and setup fees" makes me think you might not be referring to the GVJack app? They have no setup fees. (I can't comment on tax.) You buy the program, download it and install it while your MJ dongle is plugged in.
anon posted : The work around link does not work for me. MJ's decision to make the CF feature even just temporarily unavailable while they are "updating" is a foolish business decision. Their dumb decision affects my business because I have the MJ # on my business cards. Have used the CF feature for several years flawlessly until they decided to mess with it without warning or notice to their users. They obviously do not appreciate their clients and I hope people will dump MJ and never come back. They don't deserve to stay in business if they treat people like that. There is no good reason why they can't continue with CF while they are working on their so-called update. It's just a way to make more money. I'd even be happy to pay for the CF feature if it were available, but now they are just losing me. I don't care when it becomes available because they have just proven that they are not reliable.
It may only affect those who rely on the CF feature, but if they mess with one feature, it's only a matter of time until they decide to mess with another feature.
