anon posted : WGN America does show the Cubs and White Sox games which I really like. In addition, most TWC areas carry it except Buffalo area. Rochester city, Syracuse, and even New York City carries it on their respective TWC systems. It is a channel that many offer in basic cable across the country. Everyone has different tastes in programming.

By your logic then, WGN should be added to a special Chicago tier so only people like you have to pay for it...

BTW, TWC does have WGN in HD, just not in your area apparently. LA has had it for years. Although we are missing out on other HD channels that other TWC areas have had for a while.

At least FX, USA, TNT and TBS have original content and most of it is pretty damn good. Mav TV sounds like a ripoff of a combo of Fuel TV and Spike. Sony Movie Channel, just shows recycled movies that can be found on the other movie channels or in the $3 bin at WalMart.

Epix is the only legitimate one. When CBS and Viacom split up, CBS no longer had rights for Showtime to air a decent amount of movies and all future movies from some of Hollywood’s top studios. Epix is also the exclusive home for premium cable of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And while I would rather watch Iron Man or The Avengers on blu ray in 1080p with DTS HD Master 7.1, having those movies available on cable to flip through would be nice. Three of the top four MSOs in the country don’t carry Epix. Unless they can come up with an original series that is not just good, but Soprano’s good or steal something like boxing away from HBO or Showtime, there will never be much demand for Epix and it will never have that wide of a distribution.

I noticed a weird thing happen on my DCX3400 the other day where below channel 799 on the iguide in the grid guide it was showing a blank channel where channel 800 should have been and it had no name and no channel number I should have tried to tune it darn it.

I am certain that those that really need the NFL network have made that decision. There isn't a provider that provides everything so consumers get to make programming decisions based on channel line ups.

And yes, I will say it again, Time Warner is one of the BEST MSOs, at launching new channels, and HD channels. They have an awesome HD line up. No provider is going to carry every channel, and just because they don’t carry a few channels doesn’t mean anything from an overall point of view.

As for the NFL Network, Time Warner is never going to carry it, I can’t say I particularly care. It should be carried now that the channel has more live games, but it’s not a deal maker or breaker, I have access to the channel on DirecTV and aside from the lave games, I never watch it. RedZone is the channel I care about, I’d rather have that, but I will not go as far as to say TW has a bad reputation of adding services because they don’t carry these 1 � channels.

Not really. Bein Sports is primarily soccer. FSC and FSP are also soccer. My guess is that Pac-12 was a higher priority than the soccer channels because it has college football. I have no problem with FSP being in the Sports Pass. I also would have no problem with Bein Sport and Univision Deportes added to the Sports Pass and the price bumped up to $10/month (it's actually $8/month here). Unlike what most people seem to feel about the NFL Network...

I do find it funny that you come in this thread about a soccer channel, claiming how great TWC is at launching new channels, when I didn't see you saying the same thing in any of the NFL Network threads... Sure the NFL is more popular and the reasons they aren't added probably have nothing in common. But the fact remains TWC is missing a channel that you would really like for it to carry. And TWC is missing a (couple) channels that I would really like for it to carry. And that is why "TW has a bad reputation when it comes to launching new services."
