Damn it says I need 2.7GB of available storage in order to update,……
Is that for OTA updates only or could I get away with less free space if it were through iTunes,….?
I only have 1.1GB free, not sure where I would get the other 1.6GB,…. |

I had to delete some apps too. Was surprised to see how much space some of them were using up!
Its cool you can see the usage of this from the settings in the iphone but would like to see this through the itunes interface too (maybe its there and I missed it, never had a need to look).
Installing ios6 now.

I'm confused. After all my complaining that the new iTunes wasn't compatible with PowerPC old iTunes 10.6.3 is now downloading it. I hope this goes well. |

The first time I checked my new iPad only had ~600MB free. I ended up deleting most of my photos since I knew they were already on my Mac and server. That got me to 1.1GB but I wasn’t willing to do much more then that.
So I plugged it into iTunes,….
Crossed my fingers and toes (legs, arms and eyes too,…..really hard to type this post this way,…  ) and started to update to iOS 6,…..

So far everything OK. Beginning to check out Siri on iPad, which wasn't avail before. And the new maps.
