By some sort of error I made it to the closed beta. Will download tonight and see how it is.

Did anyone else get something like this?

You two need to tell us how it is. MW Online seems like all sorts of goodness in a handbasket.

As long as it ain't some Farmville pay-to-win atrocity.

Man been wanting to play a Mech game for so long I really hope this is really good. I feel that they will use the League of Legends model, pay for Mechs and skins but the weapons and stuff you need to find.

Your receiving this email because we made a piloting error. You have just recently received an email that was meant to go out to only all our great Closed Beta testers. So we really apologize for making this mistake and hope you will forgive us.

I got one too, but reading it made me a sad panda.

I've been in on it for a bit.

It was fun at first, but doesn't stand up to single player MW that it used to be. I love the mech fights, it's well done. The graphics are nice. And I don't know how much else they will add... but so far it's just arena fights.

You create your mech, get thrown into a random battle of 6 vs 6 (I think, I forgot) that lasts 5-10 minutes and then wait for whichever team wins. Then you get XP and money, and repeat.

As for the weapons, mechs and skills, you buy them with the money and XP you get from playing.

Oh so its a Mech League of Legends not single player campaigns but only "vs" matches.

Will give it a try tonight.

But I'd gladly pay to have a hello kitty decal painted onto my Atlas. Last thing my enemy sees!

Yeah, I just find that the battles aren't anything great so far. Most people just go straight in and die or kill. Others, more agile ones might go around things, but overall, the maps feel too small and cluttered for me, there isn't much room for tactics. Not sure if it changed, guess I should try to re-log and see if there are updates.

eks are all the classic mechs available? Thinking about the founders club that gives you 4 "exclusive" mechs for free.

So far, no. They've been adding them slowly, not sure if they'll get them all or not.

I'd have to check when I get home, but I'm pretty sure you can get them all with mech money and I didn't get any of the founders packages.

My biggest question is it decently balanced with speed/mobility versus armor/number of weapons. I remember fast mechs were fun, but were just too squishy, especially when everyone and their mom goes with an assault mech.

Slow heavy/assault mechs are a pain to turn, so fast mechs have an easy time staying behind the enemy and shooting them down... but if the assault type mechs gets a few good shots on the light one, then it's dead.
