hussle87Premium join:2008-01-06 Sykesville, MD | Modem log shows DHCP renew warning I was looking at the logs and was checking things out and I saw that there is a DHCP renew warning. Could this be related to IPV6? |
|
 | I get those every 5 days like clockwork on my SB6141. They don't effect my service in any way. I read on another thread about Comcast and Motorola working on a firmware update for the T4 timeout problem, maybe it will take care of the DHCP warnings we are getting also. |

 | reply to hussle87 No, your IPv4 address will renew periodically, more often than not you get the same IP you had before. I see these in my modem log too, doesn't cause a problem. |

As was stated, this is on the DOCSIS / management side of the modem as has nothing to do with the Public IP of anything connected to the LAN side of it. |
