| Help Replacing LCD for HP Laptop Model: HP G60
I'm having some trouble with my laptop. The screen was physically damaged. Everything still works except for the giant crack in the screen. I purchased a replacement screen with matching specs (At least I thought so).

After plugging everything in, turning on the laptop only makes the lcd slightly brighter. Plugging in the old one, everything shows on the screen. Incompatible screen or did I purchase the wrong one?

You may have gotten the wrong screen. Here's the two different screens that are listed as compatible:

| It's very hard to tell because the original panel is from AU Optronics and the replacement panel is from LG. If the link to amazon.com is correct, you have most likely gotten the wrong replacement panel. Notice that the original PN is B156XW01 V.0. The replacement you got is meant for B156XW01 V.2. If you follow the link I provided, you may be able to pay less for a glossy screen (is your original screen glossy or matte?). |
