Well, this proves that this is definitely post-Jobs Apple.

I wonder where Apple would be had Steve not come back and the iPod never came out.

BTW: Fringe returns tonight on FOX.

Because the CEO apologized for the terrible product quality, the terrible product quality itself or because the CEO actually recommended Google as an alternative?

D. All of the above

One gripe so far is with the speed and accuracy of Find My iPhone. We use it to check where one another is at when we can't get a hold of each other. Wife has an extremely long commute and has to work during it.

Try the Apple app "Find Friends". Seems to work better and faster for that purpose.

I use google latitude for that. There are privacy implications.

The worldwide come apart over this is kind of amusing when there are so many mapping options available, many even free.

But a benefit is going to be Apple is probably going to make one hell of an improvement. From the sounds of it they are hiring some of the top cartographers around.

Now THAT'S funny and so crazy.

$5.99 for a magazine.

EDIT: Is the price a MAD mag joke or is that what they really charge?

EDIT II: No, that's the real price. Now THAT'S MAD!

Final edit: no, just researched and answered my own question.

They burned so much gas getting lost from using Apple maps.

As an aside, they have it mapped out perfectly now on their magazine!

Hehe, not surprising...

Like I said earlier in this thread or another post, why the hell didn't they just release it as a beta Maps app. They would get huge feedback from people, and those people could still use google maps if they chose.

And in iOS7 a polished version could replace Google Maps.

Makes too much sense I guess.

As the internet had, well constructed, web sites with numerous images of Map problems ....within two hours after the launch of iOS 6, I'd be willing to bet that the issues were well known before it was formally released.

Amazingly, you can. Though there are very actual new features that you can enjoy on it.

I'm a big fan of "Do Not Disturb", so if that's available on the 3GS (and I know of no reason why it wouldn't), it's worth the price of the upgrade.
