djw1234 join:2012-03-26 Bloomsburg, PA | [speed/latency] Upgraded my HSI today. When can I expect faster I accidentally placed an order for the slower HSI (1-3 mbps) last week, got a Service Ready Date of 9/20 and DSL was actually active on 9/18 (I couldn't wait and had to check). I noticed the speed right away and called today to upgrade to the 7.1-15 mbps. A new order was placed and I'm seeing a new Service Ready Date online of 9/23.
Since our original DSL was activated two days early, could/should we expect the HSI upgrade early? I can't expect there to be a tech upgrading us on a Sunday, right?
Also, will the upgrade happen automatically or will we need to reset the modem? |

When can I expect fas a tech on Sunday doesn't happen unless a tree or something breaks your wire, afaik. the upgrade should be automatic, and provided your line is set up on a card at the office that can do 15, it should auto-upgrade at ~1:30 am +- an hour or so the following day. if you REALLY want it now, you can ask them to switch it immediately, which they can do (it literally takes them mere seconds to change it). |

Tech support (yeah right) was no help and said the upgrade likely hadn't taken effect yet, after asking me to reboot, unplug, etc. They tried to transfer me to a sales/billing support agent in the US but their office wasn't open yet today. Is there any way to contact support here in the US that can actually help resolve this situation? |

djw1234 join:2012-03-26 Bloomsburg, PA | Thanks for the offer! The upgrade went through last night around 8pm...we're getting around 10.5 mbps down and 2 mbps up now!
I was finally connected to an agent (with no accent) that could chat with the techs who do the actual upgrading. They got me in the queue and said as soon as SAP updated we'd see the upgrade. |
