Re: Shuttle Endeavour Saw the shuttle and the 2 F-18's escorting it around LAX. Didn't really have the best view from work, as I could only see it between a couple of buildings from ground level. The I-105 was in the way during the LAX flyby (I was on the south side of the 105). The freeway was jam packed, as CHP decided they were outnumbered, and pointed the way for the cars to stop and park.
A few hours later, I went to another building and saw the shuttle near the terminal south of Bradley Int'l terminal, next to 2 cranes. Peering through binoculars, the shuttle still looks incredible.
So sad to see such a legacy end.
