Re: [iPhone] Post your iPhone 5 speed tests Well then, I stand corrected. Regardless of who started it in the 'States, the Canadian carriers caught on eventually. |

said by Metatron2008:These at&t lte speeds kinda suck. For about a year of verizons lte you could get 40+ mbit download, and in some cases 60. It all depends where you live, I've seen Verizon LTE speeds here in KC no higher than 25-30Mbps. -- My Internetz: Surewest 50/5, CenturyLink 10/896, AT&T U-verse 18/1.5, Sprint 4G Hotspot Computer: i7 2600k@4.5GHz, GA-P67a-UD7-B3, 16GB DDR3, GTX 580 and GTX 260, Corsair 750W, Antec 1200 |

Sprint LTE in Ellicott City Maryland.
I measure mine in kB/s but everyone else is using the default Mbps. Here's the conversion:
2298 kilo BYTES per second = 17.9 mega BITS per second -- less talk, more music |

 | reply to Black_Mage said by Black_Mage:I'm not impressed. I hope Sprint plans to activate 4G here soon so it's at least as fast as ATT's 3G. I tried uploading the picture directly from the phone. Didn't work. Sprint's LTE is pretty good (see my post right above this). -- less talk, more music |

| I have left my 'billing area' many times.
Verizon has lte for pretty much all of the big cities in GA, and quite a few beyond. 3g everywhere else. At&t has better north ga coverage with 3g, but verizon is pretty much even IN LTE COVERAGE when taking in account the other areas that at&t doesn't cover. And that's at&ts 3g, at&ts lte is even lower in coverage and will probably stay that way.
Go out of the cities and you get edge crap with at&t. And edge crap for at&t is usually 600 ping 100 kbit d/50 u crap. |

| As of the moment, Verizon and at&t both have good speeds, but I doubt it will stay that way for At&t.
Look at how at&t handles upgrades versus verizon, look at uverse versus Fios. I would bet anything at&t has cut corners somewhere when building out lte. |

Here's my recent batch of Telus LTE tests in Calgary, Alberta. Well first set of tests since I haven't been to the city since I got my phone. Tested in 2 local areas while a friend was driving around. -- ~There is no Normal or Abnormal... Just Diversity. Member of Team Helix - Join Us? |

on the edge of lte service |
iPhone 5 finally arrived yesterday, online activation went fine but I've had the "no sim" message three times today already (hopefully updating to 6.0.1 has fixed that). Must say, I quite like LTE though -- ♬ Music is life ♬ |

I noticed that Puyallup, WA (Seattle-Tacoma Suburb) got at&t LTE on Tuesday! Could have been sooner that's just when I noticed. -- Not many people know this, but I happen to be quite famous... |

| Nice! AT&T LTE was deployed in Corvallis and Eugene this week; I'm still waiting for Salem, then I will be quite happy with my coverage. (Salem really sucks, can barely stream audio in the afternoon ) -- ♬ Music is life ♬ |
