White power cables?

I forgot the connector is called but it's used for things like computer power supplies, but I wanted to know if they ever made them in white and at least maybe 10 Ft long? If not I'm going to have to find something to cover the power cable.

Long story short I'm mounting a projector on a ceiling but the ceiling is concrete so my option is to run from the ceiling down to the wall where the outlet is.

I wont be getting the projector until next month so I don't have the length set in stone but I was just wondering on color options.

Grey and beige are common. Have not seen white or lengths over 6'.

As long as the projector is under 10amps, how about this one.....

You are probably referring to IEC 60320 (often shortented to IEC320) type appliance input connectors and since you mention computer power supplies specifically connector C13.

Power cords with NEMA 5-15 plug and C13 connector are available in all colors and length (including white) but by far the most common color is black.

first google result (Stay Online) . I don't know this vendor but they offer what you are asking for.

If the projector has a C14 power inlet (to mate with a C13 connector) then the maximum current has to be less then 10A. The design limit for C13/C14 is 10A regardless of the size of the conductors or the plug on the other end of the power cord.

deepsurplus.com has standard power cords up to 25' in length as long as you like black.

I'm pretty sure Radioshack has them in white.

Order the IEC plug online they run about $6 maybe cheaper if you look more than the one place I did.

Get some bulk wire in the color that matches your bricks.

Add a plug end for the outlet and make your own.

I dont think you need to find a white cable. If you're going to be running the cable along the ceiling, down the wall, you may as well invest in some cable white wire channel. It will look better than a cable stapled/glued to concrete.

Be careful in the amp/watt requirements for the projector and the power cable you'll be buying. C13 cables aren't always the same gauge. I've seen as small as 18AWG and as large as 12AWG.

I had a 18AWG cable melt and burn right next to me in my office because it was connected to a heavy duty laser printer (Office's fault). Good thing I was there when it happened, most people would have run off screaming while I scrambled to unplug that cable.

How do you get a wire channel to stay upside down?

Ok that's what I thought yeah I was thinking about that but I did not know if the cable would be too thick.

Only 6 foot though, but you could buy a white extension cord and use that as well.

Look for Apple power cables, they are white and have that standard connector.
