[Connectivity] Losing connection Constantly.

For the last 2 months my internet has been going out randomly. Ive tried 3 different modems and 4 different routers but they dont seem to make a difference. Also I have replaced all of my Ethernet cables.

Our technicians say my signal is good.

I am currently using the motorolla surfboard SB6121.

I get this error sometimes and it failed to establish an ip.

I am usually VERY good at fixing technical problems by myself and with a lot more work I might be able to diagnose this but. I almost to the breaking point. (and on a side note my speeds and randomly slow and I get high pings). Please Help Me!

Join the crowd. I'm not sure of your location but several people (probably many more that don't notice/realize) are having similar issues.

downstream power is a little low. You may want to switch out splitters, or eliminate unneeded ones.

Have you inspected the cable lines in your house, if possible?

Just some starting stuff

Thank you for the reply. Im thinking it just might be my downstream power being -9 and hitting -12. Removing the splitter does bring it to -4 to -5. I have ordered new cables and splitters that should be here tomorrow. If your right on the first post props to you my friend lol. Im going to continue testing.

So I have physically replaced every piece of hardware and every cord atleast 1 time. My levels look great now but I keep getting DHCP Failed. And it loses my IP for 15+ minutes at a time and my ping will jump from 25 steady to between 150 and 500.

Welp, now that you have the signal levels ruled out, try getting ahold of SDL L3Tech here on the forums. He'll be able to look into the issue from the network side for you.
