Re: Mozilla announces Firefox Health Report, will phone home ... What you are saying has been said all before which shows the ones complaining missed it the first time.
What I said has been said before which means the users missed that memo as well.

Now that may work for awhile until a security update. My point was, metrics can change and the money dry up. Something they're obviously not taking into account, but should.
As for security updates, meh. At some point the "improvements" become as big a security risk in the eyes of users as whatever's out there. It's a false argument and it's getting old. What Mozilla deems a risk isn't always the same as what we deem a risk. |

May be a false argument to you but it really is a no brainer to know that a particular version of software can only take so much before newer security enhancements or features will no longer work or can be incorporated into the older version.

Who is we? The minute percentage of users on this site that pay attention to security or the overall minute percentage of users that pay attention to security and are capable of separating what is important vs. what can be skipped or secured though other means then a new version install.
The bulk of the users which is what this really will effect are the ones that update when updates are available and are the same ones that update programs or the OS as they become available. -- "Paranoia, the destroyer" |
