Temporary Speed Increase

Whats this wizardry?

NOOOOOO!

So I was just downloading some things and I checked out the speed in my NZB downloader. I pay for 6/768, but to my surprise, the download speed was 11425 KB/s instead of the normal ~700. It stayed this way for about 10 minutes then it looks like I lost it.

It showed me downloading 13.59Gb in 19 minutes.

Any idea what happened???

Some sort of measurement error. That's approaching 100mbps which is not possible on this service or on the hardware that delivers it.

I can tell those screen captures are from Grabit as I have experienced the same thing from that application while downloading from Usenet. Unfortunately they are not real world results but rather a erroneous measurement as graysonf has already pointed out.

It could be compressed header data. I know my usenet client will show higher downloading speeds when downloading headers.
