Re: TWC

BS. its illegal bundling. If TWC or Comcast did that people would be all over them.

That is because TWC and Comcast are Cable companies. Google is an internet service provider in this case. Their main product is the internet service. If you subscribe to the right tier, you get the added feature of television programming. Just like Comcast offers domain names for people who have their business class HSI.

Google is not a TV company, nor are they trying to be. They are going to provide internet service, first and foremost. Everything is built on top of that.

If Google is not a TV company, why did they file with the Missouri PSC back in February (with approval in March) to sell pay-tv?

They are most definitely a pay-tv company, and like it or not, your mainstream media calls them a "cable TV" company - in the same way they refer to TelcoTV.

And since when has the mainstream media not worked for cable co's?

It's horrible how so many things are tied in with Television just because people want them to be.

Then if they're not trying to be a TV company then they don't need access to the TWC set of channels, and yet still force bundling.

They can provide the TV product without providing full access to 'net.

and with that they should be REQUIRED to UNBUNDLE their TV product.

Just because consumers want something one way doesn't mean that they can have what they want. Haven't you learned anything from Verizon or AT&T?

problem here is that it isn't a separate product.
