[Cable] [West] Slow Youtube video loading

Anyone else finding Youtube videos load at a snails pace recently? I can't even watch a few minute long low res clip without letting it buffer completely first. Tomato is showing that it's downloading at around 30-50KB/s. It's definitely not the line itself at I can easily max it out using Usenet.

Make sure you are using Teksavvy's DNS servers rather than third party servers, which might be pointing you at Youtube servers much farther away (network-wise) than it should.

Tried that already. It didn't make any noticeable difference.

Yes, YouTube has been horrible for the last few weeks for me.

YouTube has always been hit-and-miss for me.

The following trick works for me 99% of the time. Although I'm on West DSL, not sure if the results will be the same on cable, but it's worth a try:

1) Browse to a YouTube video you want to watch.
2) Once the video has started to buffer, refresh the page.
3) Once the page has been refreshed, your video should now be loading from a Peer 1 Networks cache server, which should be very fast loading.
