On the other hand, these men are mentally ill. As a result of their environment, upbringing and in no small part to genetic predispositions as well. This is no excuse, just a list of facts. The way our system is built, these guys will receive psychiatric help while they rot in jail for the rest of their lives. And that's the best case scenario for us, the people. Could be worse. Guy Turcotte, the doctor who savagely murdered both his children some years ago, has walked out of prison already. I have very little faith in our justice system.

And even if we were somewhat lucky and these lunatics ended up in jail for life, what exactly does this serve? These men can never be rehabilitated or become productive citizens in any shape or form. These sort of crimes are so hideous, twisted and batshit crazy that I'd say they go beyond manslaughter and murder in moral gravity.

One bullet to the brain, discard body in fire. Cheap and simple.
It's humane, they certainly would suffer a lot less that way than they will while they are in prison. [Mr. xxx] told CBC News he cut the chains off the boy and drove him to a house in Bridgewater.

If a kid in that condition showed up on my doorstep, I would call the police right away.

I sure wouldn't plop him in my car and drive him somewhere else. The kid could even turn around and say that I was the one who kidnapped him.

Cops found an abandoned car on a northwestern Ontario highway believed to belong to one of the men accused of kidnapping and a raping a Nova Scotia teenager.

RCMP found the 2003 Hyundai Elantra with a Nova Scotia licence plate, believed to belong to 32-year-old Wayne Alan Cunningham, 19 km outside Longlac, Ont., Wednesday morning....

Leblanc was arrested Sunday night in northern Ontario....

Cunningham is still at large and police said Tuesday he could be headed to Calgary.
