Tub/Shower refacingI have a condo unit in which I rent out. Im doing some much needed repair and improvement. One thing I need to get done is to have the tub/shower combo refaced.
About how much does this cost to have a new liner put over the old one form someplace like Home depot? |

Im not at the unit right now. When the painter comes tm ill take a few pics.
Basically its stained, chipped, out dated, and im changing the bathroom a bit. |

Stained and chipped can be repaired. Nothing is going to do anything about outdated except tearing it out. |

A quick search yielded prices for relining and, reglazing and replacing @ » www.doityourself.com/str ··· -jPXAHyIA custom made bathtub liner will cost in the range of $700 to $1000 installed, while a liner and tub surround should cost in the area of $2000. Not cheap, but when you consider the quick turnaround and the convenience of installation, it's well worth considering. Replacing a bathtub itself will likely cost considerably more ($3000 - $5000)
The charge for a professional reglazing would be in the $500 range and it would usually be done in a day, making it as convenient as installing a bathtub liner.
The hotel industry has generally decided that bathtub liners and tub surrounds are the best way to renovate and update |

If you search the archives here for threads with the words "bathtub reglazing" you will find a couple of different threads. I posted pics in one from 2006 when it cost me around $300 to have just the tub spray reglazed professionally. Others have done it themselves for less with brush applied material. |
