You would have to show that whatever level of government was responsible knew about the pothole before you hit it and refused to fix it. And you'll never be able to show that.

I'd think you could get your insurance company to pay. What's your deductible?

Every time I've reported a pothole, it gets fixed within 24 hours.

EDIT: Just curious where the pothole was...

I did report it first on that website and then like 3 days later I have filled a claim with the state... the pot hole is still not fix its been over a month now. I took pictures and mailed them with my claim form.

The deductible is a $1000
