Apple is sliding, but not for the reasons mentioned in this article.

They won't lose market share overnight mind you, but i do think Windows Phone 8 will be a worthy competitor,

Windows phone isn't going anywhere. It like KIN will be an udder failure. There will be products with Windows 8 phone, OS installed, but if they sell is another question.

No, I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake.......

Suck on that

I agree, MSFT has dumped on the consumer since day 1 on mobile. My poor Dell Axim was shafted on upgrades, every current windows phone is shafted, and rinse and repeat for Win 8. Ask the Zune people how support is on their devices.

Not that I dislike MSFT, they just have never been "all in" for mobile. No office on tabs, onenote hobbled on tabs, VDI...

When the current 2012 Win 7.5 mango phone is already in the Smithsonian, you have a problem Houston.

Give them time, what they've been doing all theses years is learning.. everyone and every company fails one point or another, don't count them out of the mobile area they could change the whole idea of how our phones / tablets / tv / and desktops interact and people would never think anything of it

Seriously? They have been trying since Windows CE and they STILL keep screwing it up. Microsoft has way too many engineers working on the project and not enough designers who know what the common person wants. That's why Apple does so well with their iPhone.
