Re: CIRA Election Open How so? A quick check at GoDaddy shows .CA is cheaper per year than .COM for multiple years, and the same price for one year.
1 year: .CA: $12.99 .COM: $12.99
5 year: .CA: $12.99 .COM: $14.59

Having said that, .ca is cheap compared to most commercially-managed country TLDs. |

I overpaid with them for a couple years before I realized how much they were ripping me off. Was incredibly easy to switch registrars, and there are lots of cheaper ones that can also answer email within an hour.
If you only have a single domain it's not such a big deal, but if you have multiples then overpaying by $15 or $20/domain/year kind of sucks. |
