World of Warcraft → I have ZERO idea what's going on

Maybe I should actually read the quests rather than just accepting them and then opening the map and looking for the "1" or "2" or "?"

If it's my first time through a zone, I do at least try to scan the text from the quest-giver; there are actually some really good story arcs in MoP from what I've seen so far. I guess it depends on whether you want to hit level cap ASAP, or whether you're content with a more relaxed pace on the road to 90.

On the other hand, if I've been through a zone before - give me the quest and get the hell out of the way, I have to go loot some boar livers.

I'm with Caelharrad . First time through I read and watch it all. After that unless I really like it I blow right by it. The fourth time or so it is give me the quest already I've got things to kill.

Use monomyth.

Right click a quest npc and it instantly picks up all the quests.

It will also talk to anyone. Hold down shift to temp disable it because it will start escorts immediately and other crap.

is "Monomyth" not considered some type of a bot. i thought anything that made questing automated was blocked...

EDIT: kind of like "Turn In" also. another questing automation addon.

You're thinking about Auction House add-ons. They wanted to make sure there was no automation when buying and canceling auctions.

I have been struggling with this for a few reasons.

1) While some of the story is engaging. Some of it is repetative. The quest line for Pandaria can be summed up as this.

Travel to village that is either under attack or about to be attacked, go find the farmers son, go kill some guys, go get some supplies. Go to next village. Repeat.

The story varies mostly by what is attacking. But the underlying cause is always the same.

It might not be SO bad. But the third time I was told to go get a Farmers son I kind of lost faith. Other general things (go kill these, go get leaves/items) I expect, but "My son ran away / was lost during the attack, go find him!" It's almost word for word 3 times and I am only half way to lore master. At least make it a daughter or a wife. And have that person be dead when we find them aka Mankrik's late spouse.

2) When questing I like to grab at least one person who I see is on the same part of questing as me and invite them for my druid symbiosis and for motivation. But everyone seems to go so fast I skip reading text to keep up with them. Sometimes I wish I took the time to read some of the stuff I skipped because of this. Especialy the hidden lore scrolls. I know I could just google them but it's not the same.

3) I really want to get to 90 and get working on my set of gear to set an example for the rest of the guild as we raid Saturday. We have 5 at 90 all ready but I am just 3 bubbles in to 89. Makes me want to hurry. Some people who want to raid are so bad at leveling they are still at 86!

That's mostly it. Group questing, the repetativness of quests, and the need to get 90 and get geared fast, is making me skip quest text.

I liked the quest arcs in Cat. as they were interesting/fun/informative. I am finding the quests of MOP to be along the same line.

I've seen a few lev 90's. How did players level up so fast? Battlegrounds?
The 90's are buzzing around [flying] doing quests, missing out the koolness of the landscape.

OK, so going off the title, I think I'm there with you.

It took me a while to get to 90 myself. I made on Saturday, 29 September. Once I hit 90, I had no idea what to do. I dinged in the Dread Wastes. I had already done a few of the Klaxxi dailies (which I hear are one of the more important factions to earn rep with). I then went to the Shrine of the Two Moons (Horde city in Vale of Eternal Blossoms) and OMFG there were so many quests there that take you in every friggin direction for other reputation factions.

What should I really be focusing on at this point? I did the first day of Golden Lotus faction dailies (I think a total of like 10-11 quests?).

I started Cloud Serpent quests yesterday and did some of those dailies up to where I play with a bouncing ball with my Golden Hatchling and clean up his piles of shit.

I really don't know what I should be doing. Normally I'd just be grinding out heroics for gear, but that hasn't been too lucrative for me at this point. Everything that's dropping is usually Agility Mail gear when I need the Intellect Mail gear (Resto/Ele Horde Panda Shaman).

So the question again....what should I really be focusing on at this point? Thanks in advance.

I suggest finding a faction reputation rewards that help your professions or gives you cool stuff

Find the faction that you like and do those dailys to level up the rep.

For me ill be working on the rep that gives me pets

Try pet battling and capture your own, much faster.

I do pet battling, currently have 390 unique pets, about 403 in total, but i also want to get the unique pet rewards that you can only get as a faction reward.

Now I'm not AS lost as I was before. The reputation requirement has been lifted on the JP gear from faction vendor however the rep requirement is still there for the VP gear.

I'm working on Klaxxi rep and Golden Lotus IOT to unlock ShadoPan. I don't care about pets and mounts that much. I just don't like being the lowest heals/dps on the meters in raids. 5 mans I can be uber but it seemed on Tuesday my shit was low low low.

I also started the Tillers since I completed every daily except the Cloud Serpents (what is their purpose anyways besides a mount?) The farming thing is weird but I still got Lesser token of w/e and some VP. Guess I'll still be working on those then. I planted some Radishes and a carrot yesterday and couldn't do anything with them. What if I wanted to cancel what I planted?

I need a big .gif map of where all these vendors / daily quest givers are. Looking up stuff on wow head every time i need to find something is getting old. Even the prof guys are spread out!

in the horde Shrine of the Two Moons, there's an AH. I'm sure there's one right inside the main floor of the shrine for the Alliance.

actually...dalaran has had and still has a normal "auctioneer" usable by EVERYONE... It has been that way pretty much the entirety of cata.

i want to say when the put the normal auctioneers in dalaran around the start of cata... they also put the one in shat.

Mages, so far, do not get a portal to their city in the Vale. I guess you could have a guild lock and friends provide you with a means to get there, if you are not of a level to do the quest to open the Vale doors.

I did it at 88, I think I got the quest to go see Anduin at the Temple of the White Tiger at 87.

i ran to the city on my druid at 87. no problems.

Except that you get a portal and teleport to your city in the Vale at 90.

After reading this thread I downloaded this addon and I gotta say w/ all the dailies and all the asshats on Illidan standing on quest givers this is a blessing
