| DCM475: firmware updates from 02.08 to 02.16(!) We've been covering this extensively in the Teksavvy forum, but for those who don't frequent there, here's a pointer to the (most) relevant thread:

Short story: Forum user Teddy Boom in Toronto can upgrade the firmware in most cable modems, including the DCM425 and DCM475, for $10. And forum user mlord (me) can upgrade the DCM475 to 02.16 here in Ottawa, for $5 towards the cost of the flashing kit.
Just send an Instant Message (IM) to either of us to set up an appointment.
I'm also more than willing to share the details of the setup and the source code for anyone who wants to establish their own setup from scratch.

1 edit | I am very interested in your upgrade procedure. I have a few modems bought in US that need to be upgraded.
Edit: I should have mentioned yesterday, I am looking for the procedure to flash DCM425s. |
